The shallow-mount box uses a reinforced mica injection-molded resin oversized cone structure to provide greater cone and gasket surface without changing its standard external dimension.
The cone surface allows for louder, deeper and tighter bass by moving more air, all from a compact design. It is rated at 1500W peak power and 400W nominal. This shallow subwoofer enclosure also features angled push terminals, which make it easy to connect to speaker wires.
Traditional terminals mount horizontally or vertically and force wires to be bent to fit. This is especially difficult if low-gauge high-performance wires are used. The Pioneer subwoofer enclosure is constructed of sealed 0.63 MDF wood. The exterior is carpeted for a non-slip, scratch-resistant surface.
