What's in the box. Ported enclosure loaded with two 12 subwoofers. Embroidered logo patch with fabric-fastener backing. Written by Crutchfield's Bob Bihlmayer. Infinity's Reference Series loudspeakers have long been known for great sound in home and car.

Now they've taken their high-performance subs and created the Reference Series subwoofer enclosures, made for huge bass with low distortion. The Reference Series 1200D enclosure features two 12 subwoofers. The subs' sturdy polypropylene cones and 2 voice coils can handle up to 800 watts of RMS power (1600 watts peak), and they crank out the lows down to 30 Hz, so you'll feel the bass as well as hear it. The enclosure is wired to a single input with 2 ohms total impedance. Infinity's patented Slipstream port design contributes to the Reference Series enclosure's great sound.

Its double-flared design reduces turbulence and port noise, so you'll enjoy the higher output of a ported enclosure with less distortion. The box is constructed of 13/16 medium-density fiberboard (MDF) to stand up to the stresses of road life, with a black carpet covering that keeps its good looks for years to come. Rounded corners make the Reference Series enclosures easier to fit into tight spots.
